Trying to walk

Well Isobel is trying with all of her might to stand on her own and walk. She is finding her balance and getting better every day. She is no longer content to sit quietly. She is always on the go.  Unless of course she is watching one of her Baby Einstein movies and she will gladly sit in your lap, lean back and watch intently (for at least the first half anyway). We had a play date today with Natasha and Zoe at Gymboree. Isobel loved it. We sang songs and danced and played with the giant parachute. It was great.
Mommy and Daddy have started planning Isobel's first birthday. Yeah, I know it's still 2 months away. But time goes by so fast and it will be here before we know it.
Here are a few videos. Enjoy. Walking with drum. Coming to say hi.  More Isobel.

Isobel turned 10 months old

This past week has been a very active week for Miss Isobel.  She is constantly trying to stand up and find her balance. Here are two examples: Trying part 1 and trying part 2 She's also getting one of her top teeth - Finally! It hasn't made an appearance in any photos yet but hopefully will soon. And yesterday Isobel turned 10 months old. I can't believe how fast she is growing and changing. We went to the zoo again and got too see snakes, deer, manatees, turtles, a tiger, a sloth bear, monkeys, giraffe, a pygmy hippo, a cheetah and a rhinoceros. It was a very exciting day. I look forward to seeing what new things 10 months has in store for us. Perhaps she'll be walking soon. Stay tuned.

Trip to the Zoo

Isobel went to Lowry Park Zoo today with her friend Zoe (my friend Natasha's adorable little girl). They got to see some goats, some elephants, penguins and monkeys. And they got up close with a giraffe. Here's a link to the video:

It was unbelievably hot so we didn't stay for long but we had a great time! After seeing all the animals Daddy took Isobel to play in the water with Zoe and Natasha. She enjoyed cooling off and probably liked that better than anything else. We'll definitely be going to there again.

Happy Grandparents Day!

Isobel wants to wish her Nana, Grandpa Jim, Grandma and Grandpa Bob a happy grandparents day! She knows she is very luck to have 4 grandparents that love her very much.

Today Isobel went to the Aquarium with her boyfriend Logan. They saw the fishes, the rays, the turtles and the otters and the alligators.  It was a great day. But all the excitement tuckered me out.  You know, it's hard work being this cute.

This morning Isobel found one of her Einstein DVDs, looked at mommy and looked at the TV and babbled a few words. She did this a few times.  I asked if she wanted to watch the DVD and she smiled. As soon as I turned on the DVD she was enthralled through to the end. So smart!

Welcome to our Blog

I've decided to start a blog to keep all our friends and family updated on how quickly our little Isobel is growing into our not-so-little Isobel. She amazes Tim and I everyday. In fact, just tonight during dinner she said what sounded a whole lot like "Da-dee". Speaking of dinner she had her first all real food meal tonight. Her dinner consisted of whole wheat pasta, sweet potatoes, asparagus, cheese and pear. And she ate like a champ. She's such a good girl.
I'll do my best to keep this updated regularly with great pictures and videos. Forgive me if I ramble on but I can't help myself when it comes to my baby girl. I welcome questions and suggestions.
Hugs & Kisses,
Carrie, Tim and Isobel
