Easter 2009

The Easter Bunny went way overboard this year. Isobel had four, yes four, Easter baskets. She got lots of books, toys, bracelets, pretty's for her hair, and the cutest ladybug shoes. Isobel had so much fun hunting eggs. Logan was more interested in opening them, but Isobel just wanted to collect them all. It was a great day with everyone at Nana and PawPaw's house.
Everyone is sick now in various degrees. Poor Isobel is so congested. This weekend we'll be washing everything in house including all her toys and loveys.  At least she has her Abby Cadabby doll - thanks to Aunt Julie, Aunt Barb and Uncle Chris. She loves her doll and books.

Way Too Long

I know, I know. It's been way too long since last I posted. There has been so much going on I'm not sure where to start. Well the obvious is that Isobel turned 16 months. Tim and I went to Lake Tahoe with friends and had an interesting snowboarding trip. Oh, and we bought a new house! Hopefully we'll close in the next week.
Isobel has been chatting up a storm. She's constantly adding new words and trying new things. At the moment she is OBSESSED with Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. Aunt Julie has ordered her an Abby doll and we can't wait for it to arrive.
Tim and I had a great time in Tahoe with our friends. We got a few days riding in before I hurt myself and ended up at the hospital for X-rays. Thankfully it was just a bruised hip and a case of whiplash. I'm all better now. :)
But the best news is that we finally found a house. It's so much bigger and has a pool and room for Isobel to run around. We are very very excited. There's plenty of room for everyone to come and visit so please do!

Most Beautiful Girl in the World

I know I am bias, but I think Isobel is the most beautiful little girl in the world. She is happy, energetic, loving. She has the best laugh, biggest smile and prettiest blue eyes.  She is getting so good at her puzzles and is finally starting to get animal sounds. She is constantly trying to say new words. Tim said she tried to say refrigerator today. Her boyfriend Logan came over the other day and you can see how sweetly he gives her the ball. They both need to learn not to tease, but they are so cute together. He always goes in for the kiss! Don't tell Tim.  And here is a picture of Isobel with Chester, her duck. She absolutely loves to pull Chester around the house. He makes a quack sound and his head moves. The cutest thing ever. And she calls him Ester - so unbelievably adorable.

Here is a video I like to call "Please don't fart Riley"

Isobel's 15 months old - Happy Valentine's Day!

Since last I wrote Isobel has turned 15 months old. She's getting bigger and smarter every day. She's already as tall or taller than some of the kids in her Gymboree class who are older than her. At her 15 month check up the doctor said she's perfect and progressing exactly as she should. She was impressed at many words Isobel can say and how social she is.

Here's Isobel reading a Valentines book with Daddy. And another of her dancing. She loves to dance. And she loves to play with her letters and go outside. Grandma takes her to the park as often as she can.

Posing Isobel

Our little Isobel is growing up so fast. She is learning new words and skills. She is learning to ask for things like cheese, bread and "more". She also likes to practice drinking out of a regular cup. She loves going outside and picking flowers. She is getting a whole mouth full of teeth - all at the same time it seems. And she actually likes brushing her teeth so that's good. She is really developing her own personality. As you can see in one of these pictures she's becoming quite the ham too. She loves the camera. But not as much as she loves her forward facing car seat. She can see everything but still manages to fall asleep. Isobel definitely knows what she wants but she's good about accepting the limits we place for her.

Isobel loves her doggie. She follows Riley all the time. She prefers to sit on him but we are teaching her that she can sit next to him but not on him. But she has gotten very good about petting him nicely. Its so sweet.

Isobel's added some new words to her vocabulary: fish, frog, outside, and ba = ball. She is constantly trying to copy what we say. We went to take Riley pee pee and of course that's what Isobel decides to say, pee pee. It was hysterical.

Mommy and Daddy had a night out with some friends. After a delicious dinner we all played some Wii. Here's me with Elena and Tracy and Tim is bowling (although I am the undefeated champ of bowling).

Not Sunday, Hat Day

Today was a busy day. We met Zoe and Natasha and Fredric at the Aquarium today and the girls
 had a good
time. Isobel really needed her nap but she managed to see lots of fish, turtles
 and rays.

Tonight, Grandma came over to play. As you can see, Isobel managed to pull out most things from her drawers including
her hats. And she thought it would be fun for all of us to wear one. She is so adorable.
Yesterday we had Isobel's new car seat installed at the fire station. She LOVES her new seat.
She gets to see out the windows and she can see Mommy and Daddy while we drive.
She thinks it's awesome - and so do we.
Isobel has also been working on her ABCs.  She's getting very good actually. I will have to get some video of her showing off.
